Secondly your mattress can be the problem.
Sleep posture can also cause pain.
Bursitis causes the hips to become red swollen achy and stiff.
Too hard or too soft mattress can aggravate the pressure points causing hip pain.
A mattress that s too soft or too hard could trigger pressure points which may lead to a sore hip.
Experts recommend putting a pillow between the legs which can help support the hips and lower back and prevent rolling over.
It often hurts when touched and when you are sleeping at night it s easy to roll into a position that puts pressure on your hips and by extension an inflamed bursa.
Pain will occur while walking especially on slippery surfaces like smooth shoes on polished shopping centre floors while lying on the affected side in bed and often while lying on the other side if the painful leg is allowed to flop forward and touch its knee to the bed.
If you are sleeping on side try to sleep on your back or sleep on the side that is not hurting or keep a pillow between your knees so that your hips are aligned.
We recommend to rest during the day and change sleep positions frequently while sleeping to reduce inflammation.
